Why movement snacks?

Countless people are stiff and achy from repetitive behaviors, sedentary lifestyles and past injuries. Repetitive behaviors and sedentary lifestyles are areas you can address with targeted and simple movement and fitness programs; improving how you feel, look and move.

It is imperative to note and understand the goal is never to address injuries in fitness and movement based training, that’s only done with the specialists- and we would love to refer you out to if and when needed! So make sure before you do anything at all with Movement Place, or anyone for that matter, that you have already consulted with and been cleared by your Dr. to ensure you are not moving through any position that would further injure or cause harm to your body. Now that’s out of the way…let’s move on.

These exercises will generally be pretty simple. Each week will build on the previous week. Usually a few minutes out of your total day as well; so no stress to complete this daily routine. The movements will feel good, and once you adopt the routine of it you will realize what you have been missing out on. Twice daily…that’s it, but feel free to stack on a few more sets throughout the day as needed.

All of the monthly movement snacks will explore various positions and postures on the ground, standing, kneeling, and at times using the wall. If you will need any type of equipment, like a yoga block or foam roller, I will be sure and notify you.
